I had to look at existing front pages to know how and what to create when creating my own front page. There are many key features that front page creators like to have. A main key feature on a front page of a magazine is that it always has the date of the copy in either the top or bottom corners. This is there so that the target audience can tell how current the issue is and whether it is up to date or not. Another key feature front pages of magazines like to have, are big pictures of artists for that issue. this is there to attract the target audience and also show what artists the issue contains. Another very common key feature on a front page of a magazine is the masthead, this is the magazines' identity or logo, which can be place behind the main artist picture or in front depending on the magazine companies confidence. The masthead is usually found at the top on the magazine all though many magazines choose to put it in various places. Front Pages often like to use San-serif font on the front page so that it is very understandable and legible. Another key feature used on the front page are tag lines these are little rate lines that sum up the magazines overall identity for example 'The U.K's no 1 magazine for music', tag lines help boost the notoriety of the magazine. the last key feature that not every magazine has on it's front page but is on quite a lot of magazines, is sponsors. sponsors help represent the magazine on the level of how well known they are and how much money there in ouch with, this all sometimes being down to the sponsor.
